1999 Hoog Back Country

1998 Hoog 18’ Back Country/Flats Boat and with trailer in photo. Boat has spent the majority of its life either in dry storage or on the trailer under my house in the Keys. I relocated to Pensacola two years ago and just haven’t been able to use boat enough to justify keeping it. The boat originally had a red hull and black bottom paint. In 2004 I had the hull awlgripped Fighting Lady yellow and the bottom sanded and awlgripped bright white. Since that time the boat has never spent a night in the water and shows extremely well. Moving from forward to aft, there is an in-deck anchor locker which also houses the receptacle to plug in the 24 volt Motor Guide trolling motor which is mounted forward to the tp deck along with a spring piston seat to use while operating the trolling motor. After of the anchor locker is an in-deck large plumbed live and/or release well. After of that is a full beam storage compartment which also house two 12-volt gel batteries and an automatic charger for the trolling motor. Not shown in boat photo is an 18’ Moonlighter push pole which is mounted on the starboard gunnel with three fold down-pop up brackets. Stepping down to the cockpit is a hard fiberglass Ever Cool 60-quart cooler and under the cockpit sole is a 50 gallon fuel tank. On either side of the cockpit there is secure rod storage for 3-4 rods in each of the gunnel lockers. A center console has a set of Yamaha gauges and controls along with a new Garmin GPS. There is a VHF radio located inside the console storage compartment. The center console has a plexiglass windshield, a contoured grab bar and stand up storage for three rods in front of the console. The full width seat behind the helm has a fold up cushioned back rest for comfort while underway and folds flush for when fishing. Under the seat is an insulated storage compartment and directly aft center line is a plumbed live well. On the port side of the live well is the storage compartment for the battery and selector switch along with extra space. On the starboard is another compartment for lines, flares, fire extinguisher, etc. Mounter on the aft deck is a poling platform which had two rod holders affixed. Mounted on the transom is a Cook Manufacturing power jack plate. Mounted on the jack plate is a 2 stroke 1998 Yamaha 200Hp motor that had a rebuilt 225 powerhead installed 483 hours ago. Spark plugs were just replaced last week. Th lower unit was replaced in 2018 and has less than 10 hours usage. Below the engine on the hull there is a pair of Bennet trim tabs which had a new trim tab motor installed last year. Clean and well cared for boat. Fpr more information call 850-604-0060
