2016 Chaparral 257 SSX for Sale

Low Hour 2016 Chaparral 257SSX for Sale UPDATE 4/4/2020: Just opened the boat for the season and pulled up the actual hours: 74.5! Blue with silver stripe. This could well be the optimum size and model boat for family recreation. It is a deep hull with massive stability. At just under 26 feet it will easily hold two families (it is rated for 16 people). Yet it is fast and handles extremely well. We purchased it new from Modern Marine in Nashville, then babied with the best waxes and interior treatments for 3 years. Engine: 6.2L Mercruiser/Bravo III with 300 hp. The boat is in like new/excellent condition. We just don’t have time to use it. We are an older couple, so the boat was never WOT - we enjoyed cruising at around 3,200 RPM (30 MPH), which is pretty optimum for this boat/motor. It has the original trailer provided by Chap/Modern Marine as well as the full cover. We only trailered the boat about 6 times before getting our slip. Our slip has a lift, so this boat has never been in the water for more than a 7 hour boating day. The slip is fully covered, so the boat has been well protected from the sun. The bimini is in excellent/like new condition – we didn’t want a boat with a tower because they come with a much smaller bimini. We have the original carpets which are like new because we didn’t use them. The head is equipped with a camping toilet (factory) that has never been used. The helm has the standard analog factory gauges (shown in my photo) including a depth finder. The interior photos are stock pics since I don’t have many pics of the inside (this boat does not have a tower). Nothing has ever broken on this boat (it has never required service). It has been winterized and de-winterized by professional marine mechanics each year. I had the impeller replaced last fall (ahead of the maintenance schedule) as well as the gear lube. The oil was changed after break in and has been changed annually according to the maintenance schedule. This boat has only ever been on one lake, an Army Corps of Eng freshwater lake called Center Hill Lake in Tennessee – some of the best quality lake water in the country. The boat is paid off, so we aren’t under any pressure to sell. MSRP on this boat was over $100K. We were able to negotiate a price of $82K from the dealer new in 2017. We will sell it for $65K.
