1973 Defever Passagemaker

Overview: The Bow Out is a spacious, long-range trawler with traditional DeFever stylings mixed with ample storage space. The staterooms and salon allow the boat to comfortably sleep 5 people. Its single four-cylinder Perkins diesel engine is a proven marine standard. The entire boat is fitted with brand new teak and holly flooring that showcases the sleek lines and traditional vibe of this classic trawler. The DeFever is not just another trawler – it’s a legend built by the man who is considered a founding father of the trawler lifestyle. It’s believed that more than 3,800 boats have been built from the lines Arthur DeFever penned, including the Alaskan 46 for American Marine, a brand that would later be called the Grand Banks. Forward Stateroom: Three steps down from the salon sits the forward stateroom, with a comfortable v-berth. The storage beneath each bunk and the large locker allow guests to tuck away necessities. Forward Ensuite Head: To the port side of the v-berth sits the forward ensuite head. • Sink and new faucet with hot/cold pressure • Cabinet space above and below • Porcelain Electric 3-setting Toilet • Hot/cold wet head shower • Multiple outlets Salon: The spacious salon contains a large table and bench seating with upholstery in good condition. There are three large cabinets under the bench seating. The captain’s seat provides a great view of the bow, and all your important controls are within reach. The flooring on the main level is new teak and holly, including the three large hatches that allow access to the engine room below. The up galley contains: • Sink with brand new faucet • Microwave • Oven with four burner stovetop • AC/DC Split Refrigerator and freezer • Cabinets above and below • Multiple outlets • Overhead lighting Aft Captain’s Stateroom: Three steps down from the galley lies the captain’s quarters. An oversized queen bed with plush mattress provides an incredible sleeping experience. Four drawers sit just below the bed, and a dresser is next to it, with four more drawers. To the starboard side of the main stateroom boasts even more cabinet space. Teak and holly cover the floor, along with a stylish compass rose circular rug. The floor contains two removable hatches, giving the captain access to the packing below. There are also multiple outlets, and a window A/C unit. A large locker near the stairs also allows for additional hanging items, and plenty of other storage space. Aft Captain’s Head: The ensuite head is connected to the captain’s quarters. • Separate shower with hot/cold pressure (not a wet head) • Brand new faucet with ample hot/cold pressure • Cabinet space • Porcelain Electric 3-position Toilet • Multiple outlets Recent Haul Out: The Bow Out was hauled out for a bottom job in March 2019. New paint was added to the 1.25 inch plus hull. • New prop key installed • Polished prop • Replaced all anodes • Repaired all blisters • Bottom repainted • Cutlass bearing and packing inspected • All through-hole valves checked and replaced as needed
