A beautiful yacht with her long
foredeck and sleek profile, the 500
Sundancer is a crowd-stopper at any
dock. Her sheer size is impressive
enough, but it's the extravagent
high-style interior that causes
viewers to catch their breath. She
is laid out on a single level presenting
a panorama of curved bulkheads and
designer furnishings which rival those
found in a motor yacht. There are
two private state rooms, two heads
each with a shower stall, a plush
u-shaped sofa and a wide open salon with
plenty of headroom. The cockpit,
with it's raised helm, wet bar and built
in lounge seating can seat a small
croud. This is a very impressive
cruiser looking for a new home.
I am the 3rd owner. Original
owner was in Miami. The 2nd owner
was a yacht broker. She owned it
for approximately 4 years and used the
boat as a hotel in her fleet of three
–six yachts. When she bought
it in 2011 it was presented as having low
hours on the rebuilt starboard engine,
however, she did not have documentation
to support the rebuild. During her
ownership the port engine overheated and
required a rebuild. When I
purchased it in August 2015 the port
engine had 150 hours since rebuild in
2013 (I have receipts to support the
rebuild) and the starboard was reported
to have 300 hours since rebuild.
During the mechanical survey the mechanic
pulled the inspection plates on the
starboard and said based on the cylinder
hash marks it had low hours on a
rebuild.
I have complete maintenance records
since I purchased the boat in Aug 2015.
