2017 Marshall Sanderling

2017 Marshall Sanderling Catboat *Hull #849* “The Sanderling is one of the oldest continuously produced fiberglass boats on the market and we are proud to have built over 850 of them since 1962. The Sanderling is a common sense daysailer/weekender offering a spacious cockpit and roomy cabin unrivaled by any boat of similar length. Easy to single hand, sail with kids, or sail across the bay with four or five friends. Her size, stability, and self bailing cockpit allow her to withstand some of the most challenging conditions you may encounter. She is a quick, responsive, one-design which is being raced in ever growing fleets in the Chesapeake, New Jersey, and New England.” – Marshall Marine Corp. With a base price of $42,000, this boat has over $29,000 worth of factory extras. Adding up to an MSRP of $71,000 only 2 years ago. One of the most desirable options is a BRAND-NEW Electric Yacht Quiet Torque system, which allows for many hours of quiet cruising and easy maneuvering. There is teak trim throughout with tasteful bronze accents placed around the interior and hull. This sailboat is perfect for day cruises or overnight excursions with plenty of room in the cuddy. This boat was previously owned by an insurance company. We bought this boat from an insurance auction with a lightning strike as the announcement. The lightning did not strike the boat itself, but rather the shore station it was on. We hold a clean Michigan title in hand. When we received it, we replaced all the electrical components. A small burn hole in the sail and dodger was professionally repaired. There were also a couple of pieces of teak on the side of the hull that received some damage. These were professionally spliced in and finished, which can be seen in the pictures. This Sanderling was taken out sailing and all equipment is in great working order! We have had this boat professionally inspected and assessed by Evenhouse Marine Surveying. We have a full report and evaluation available apon request.
