1980 Hallett 21 Daycruiser I/O
Spectra 21 River Daycruiser I/O BBC
with Bravo X .
Spectra was built in Burbank and
is one of the most copied hulls
from So Cal .
No this is not a Hallett.
Unfortunately BT does not have Spectra
listed as a manufacturer . They closed in
the early 80’s at the end of the
recession and gas crisis.
I am a 40 year veteran Marine
Proffessional and this is my personal
boat. I presently own Orange County
Marine and have previously owned a new
boat Dealership for 12 years, Service
Manager for SeaRay Dealership, Service
Manager for Major Distributor, Shop
Foreman and Chief Mechanic for largest
High Performance Dealership ever west of
the Mississippi. Ive raced offshore and
built many race engines and rigged
raceboats. I repair all gas and
diesel,gensets,electrical and am a
certified ABYC Master Tech. I perform
Mechanical surveys on yachts on a regular
basis. etc,etc,etc
I take meticulous care of this boat.
It has been stored indoors its entire
life. Never been in saltwater. Looks like
a new boat. In my opinion this is the
perfect family skier and fun boat. Its
not the fastest boat on the water but
cruises at 50 mph at 2500 rpm and will do
an honest 70 mph fully loaded with gear
and persons. This boat needs nothing. It
has a 50 gallon aluminum fuel tank under
the floor which allows you to play all
day and not have to come back for fuel.
This is not a boat that you run for an
hour and then work on it all the next
week. Dependability was my goal. It will
sit and idle for hours or fight its way
back home in Lake Mead 6' wind waves.
Way too many options to list. You need
to see it. This is a very rare boat.
Spectra made very few I/O's and I have
never seen another converted to a big
block with a Bravo.
This is a boat to keep for life and
hand down to your kids. They dont make
them like this anymore. If you would
rather drive a classic Corvette instead
of a brand new one this is your boat.
