Price reduced! Check it out and Make an offer! 1987 Searay 270 Sportfish. It is the flybridge model of the 270 Amberjack Hardtop, with 2010 Venture Tri-axle aluminum trailer. With an inexpensive permit, having a 10' beam, it is legally trailerable in Wisconsin, you don't even need wide load signs. Can be pulled by most 3/4 ton trucks, even with a gas engine. Boat weighs about 8,500 lbs. Excellent budget charter, offshore fishing or family boat with a large back deck and full dual stations, capable of being operated from the flybridge while keeping an eye on the gear and fisherman. This boat was actually used as a charter boat in several locations, including Milwaukee as a charter dive boat about for several years. The boat has been used the past 5 five years almost exclusively as a US Coast Guard Auxiliary facility. The huge open cockpit is perfect for fishing, diving or throw in a few deck chairs for cruising. True dual station with all controls and gauges at both helm stations. There’s a v berth, and full head with pumpout, dual voltage fridge in galley. The open back pilothouse protects from the wind, sun, rain and spray, yet the side windows open up for great ventilation on the nice days. With the open back pilot house you never feel like you're "inside". It's awesome. Flybridge has seating for 4. This is a big water boat, it can take some serious seas, and do it safely while keeping everyone dry. It's underpropped at the moment to accommodate the heavy load of divers and gear, so the top speed is about 27 knots. The upside of that is it jumps out of the water, stays on plane down to about 15 knots and has the power and torque to negotiate some large seas comfortably. It has 4 blade 15.5 inch props being turned by Twin Mercruiser 260 HP V-8s with Alpha 1 gen 1 drives. Engines and drives are not original, unknown hours. Both have new exhaust manifolds within the last couple of years, both drives are SEI and also only a few years old. Both carburetors are brand new (rebuilt) last year. 3 good AGM batteries with built in 3 bank charger. Shore power hookup. The transom was replaced properly three years ago along with the rear stringers and engine mounts. Gimbal bearings and all bellows were replaced at that time. There is no delamination of the hull anywhere. The gelcoat is better than average for this year boat. No spider cracks from structural stress. There’s a few from poor close quarter maneuvering. The boat is bottom painted, it’s older but still effective. Canvas includes the rear cover, flybridge cockpit cover, and aft curtain for enclosing the pilothouse. It's not perfect and a number of the snaps on the boat side need to be replaced. Electronics include 2 VHF radios, a color Standard Horizon chartplotter with Lake Michigan C-map card, Furuno sonar and loud hailer. Also has Flowscan meters to monitor exact fuel flow and usage. It also has a remote spotlight operable from either station. The treated lumber benches were purpose built for scuba diving and are incredibly strong. The companion seat pedestal and seat are included in the sale. (seat needs re-covered) The rear bench and awesome dive ladder shown in one of the photos is available and can be included in the sale price. In addition to the diving hardware, many spare parts from a variety of projects, including outdrives, 1 complete drop in engine, one blown engine, a very heavy duty downrigger board that was never installed on this boat, 2 no-name electric downriggers, 4 manual long arm Riviera manual downriggers, ground tackle, safety gear including 8 Type 1 PFD's necessary for chartering. All equipment is negotiable. The included trailer is a 2010 Aluminum Venture Tri-axle with newer tires with about 75% tread, alumimnum mag wheels, including spare, with spare tire carrier. Will sell boat without trailer but not trailer without boat. The teak trim needs refinished, some has been removed. The floors in the read cockpit are soft. 90% of that floor is in the removable panels, so replacing them wouldn't be that difficult. The engine wiring needs cleaned up. It's been sitting since July, while the fuel was treated, the carbs will likely need cleaned or rebuilt. We have really crappy fuel here in Milwaukee.
