1997 Edgewater 260

A little history on the maker of this vessel. Dougherty Marine started with the Boston Whaler. It became so successful they sold the company and went on to create Edgewater, and likewise it's success led to creating Everglades. In the late 90's everyone from the Coast Guard to local Marine Police used this particular hull as their go to vessel of choice. It was one of the first hulls with a stepped transom that once on plane, the step is all it's riding on for a smooth, quiet ride. This Edgewater was used in Lake Erie up until I purchased it. I've owned it for about ten years. I installed all new electronics, a T-Top, had a custom trailer designed for it by EZ Loader and installed a 101 thrust Minkota Riptide trolling motor with I-Pilot, which can anchor a position within five feet of where you place it. You won't see too many offshore capable boats with one of these, but when it's flat in the gulf stream you can troll silently next to a weed line and that's really nice. Four years ago I said goodbye to a pair of very thirsty 225 two stroke engines and repowered with twin 4 stroke 200 hp four cylinder engines which came with a five year warranty. There is still 1 year of transferable warranty remaining. The engines currently have a little over 400 hours on each. You will not find another 27' center console with more room in the cockpit than this one. This Edgewater is as fantastic a lake boat as it is offshore. I have used it extensively for both. I have aged out of this sport and will be selling a lot of offshore tackle with it as well. If you're looking to step up to a quality built, solid performing twin engine that'll take you to the gulf stream on very little fuel, this is your opportunity. Call David at 919-633-9767
