1987 Chris-Craft 311 Scorpion
I had this Scorpion completely redone
in 2015, interior, upholstery and inside
of cabin - all new carpet and vinyl. The
interior carpet is blue to match the boat
paint with white vinyl cushions. Bottom
painted and has been very well kept.
Added extra seating in front and rear
behind the captain seat. Twin Yamaha
S250TXRV outboard motors. They are 2
strokes and have full compression on all
cylinders. 168 gallon fuel tank. If you
know Yamaha outboards then you know these
motors are bulletproof. The only reason I
am selling is that I want a 40' with a
head that is plumbed in. Incredible sound
system with 4 12" subwoofers. One of the
best boats I have ever owned. Has a
48-mile Raymarine open array radar that
works great. Installed LED docking lights
on top of the radar arch. Welded extra
supports in the radar arch and larger
bolts and washers to hold it down.
Installed extra cleats.
Trailer rebuilt in 2018. All new
fenders, leaf springs, bunks, and carpet,
new axles, new tires, new LED lights, and
wiring. I pulled this boat behind my
Chevy 1500 for 7 years no problem, but
recently upgraded to a 3/4 ton Chevy and
can't even feel it behind me.
New fuel pumps both engines in 2015.
June 2016 installed Raycor filter/water
separators. Complete head rebuild on
starboard motor in 2010. As of June 2018,
all 8 cylinders on both engines are
between 110 - 120 PSI compression. They
run very strong. Loaded down with a full
150 gallons in the fuel tank and 8 people
on board with gear, this boat jumps out
of the hole! We removed one of the trim
tabs, but the entire system works
great. I bought a spare system (2 new
trim tabs, hoses and pump) that will come
with the boat. It will need both tilt
trim assemblies on the motors (they are
notorious for leaking at the seals), but
I have replaced both of them before in
under 2 hours (including bleading air
from the system). It's very easy to
do.
